In 2018, Isha developed and launched Soma, a supper club, in which she cooked and prepared traditional Sri Lankan lamprais, a meal served in a banana leaf, a coalescence of strong flavors: spicy, salty, pungent, sweet, tangy. Drawing on her experience in food service and culinary knowledge handed down from her late grandmother, a Tamil food writer, Isha developed the recipes for the nine different components, a meditation on history, colonialism, movement, community, memory, and flavor.
